Overview
An embedded reader prototype exploring how RFID inputs can be normalized and presented to systems that use a Wiegand interface.
Problem
RFID readers and access-control equipment may expose different interfaces, creating an integration boundary between card input and an existing controller.
Proposed Solution
The prototype reads supported RFID input, processes the identifier through embedded logic, and produces a Wiegand-compatible output for integration testing.
System Architecture
A functional flow, not a decorative diagram.
This conceptual view communicates the primary system boundaries represented by the current prototype.
- Node 01
RFID Input
The reader captures an identifier from a supported RFID credential.
- Node 02
Embedded Processor
Firmware interprets and normalizes the incoming identifier.
- Node 03
Wiegand Output
The processed identifier is represented through the target interface.
- Node 04Output
Access Controller
A receiving controller consumes the interface output during testing.
Key Functionality
- 01RFID input handling
